Many of your Lighthouse features, such as Pings about security and location, or privacy mode, rely on the GPS location of your phone to function, so you’ll want to make sure that Lighthouse has permission to access your phone's location.
If other users you invite don’t allow location service access, you may get false alarms if they camera can’t detect they’re home.
To allow Lighthouse access to the location services of your phone:
- iOS users: open your phone’s Settings, scroll down and tap on Lighthouse, then make sure Location is set to Always.
- Android (steps will vary by model, contact us if you need help!): open your phone’s Settings > Apps > Lighthouse > Permissions
Your location permissions are used only to detect when you enter and leave home, not monitor you after you leave.
