If you’re having trouble adding an invited user to your account, please select the difficulty you’re having and we’ll help you fix it!
If you don't see your issue listed, please open the More tab on your app and click contact us to let us know what trouble you're having.
Lighthouse uses your phone’s contact list to find a phone number or email address to send an invitation to.
If you’ve already added the person to your phone’s Contacts and he or she still isn’t showing up, please:
- Force close the Lighthouse app.
- Open your phone’s Contacts app.
- Delete, then re-add the person you want to invite.
- Reopen the Lighthouse app and go through the invite process again.
If you haven’t added the person to your phone's Contacts, please:
- Force close the Lighthouse app.
- Open your phone’s Contacts app.
- Add the email and/or phone number of the person you want to invite.
- Reopen the Lighthouse app and try adding the user again.
If neither of the above solve the problem, please contact support@light.house and provide as much detail as possible about the issue.
If you’ve selected who you want to add, but can’t send the invitation please check the following:
- Make sure you’ve tapped the phone number or email you want to send the address to.
- Make sure you’ve tapped on the access level you want to allow.
If no email or phone number is listed under Where to send the invite you may have a duplicate entry for this contact. Check for duplicates in your phone’s Contacts app; if you find one, make sure you choose the correct entry when inviting the user to your account.
Unexpected invitations can often be deleted, ignored or caught in a spam filter; please check with the user to confirm this hasn’t happened. If not, please remove and re-invite the user:
- In the Lighthouse app, open the People tab.
- Tap on the name of the person you’ve invited.
- Tap his/her access level (i.e. Member, Guest) and remove access.
- Invite the user again, paying close attention to the phone number or email address used to send the invitation.
If the email or phone number is incorrect, you’ll need to close the Lighthouse app, make the changes in your phone’s contact list, then reopen the app and go through the invitation flow again.
Adding invited users to your account takes just a few simple steps:
- Make sure the person you want to add is in your phone’s Contacts.
- Open the People tab in the app.
- Tap the button in the upper right.
- Select the person you want to add from your contacts.
- Tap his/her email or phone number, then choose an access level (this can be changed later).
- Tap the button in the upper right to send the invite
When the invitee receives the invitation, he/she will need to download the app and create a new account before being automatically added to your account with the access level you chose.
