When you view recorded video, color-coded halos make it easy to follow the activity of people, pets and the subject of security alerts.
Halos in recorded videos use the following colors:
- Blue: people, both kids and adults
- Orange: pets, both dogs and cats
- Red: unrecognized people or moving objects that could be people
Before family or household members are recognized by the camera, Lighthouse will alert you when it sees them while it’s armed; you can avoid this by inviting them to your account (learn more).
When you won’t see halos
If people or pets come into view of the camera and then stop moving (for example, someone walking into the room and sitting down on the couch), you’ll may see their halo disappear until they move again.
Since the halos only disappear if someone stops moving in sight of the camera, you’ll be able to see people or pets who aren’t moving in your live view, then search (or get alerts) for anyone who’s moved in front of the device.
